Elijah is a loving and affection six-year-old boy
who would play outside all day if he was allowed.
Like most boys his age he loves to run around, play football and ride his bike, which he has recently learnt to do without stabilisers. He enjoys playing with cars and monster trucks and also likes to watch Paw Patrol. He also likes messy play and likes making things with arts and crafts – particularly play doh. Elijah also likes to snuggle up on his carers’ knee and listen to stories. His current favourite is Dear Zoo, which he has learnt the words to and will ‘read along’ with you.
Elijah's favourite foods are hot dogs, apples and milk. He loves food but he needs some encouragement to eat vegetables as he doesn’t really like them.
Elijah had a difficult start in life but has made everyone proud with his progress, becoming more confident and inquisitive and better able to engage with activities for longer periods. He still struggles to play with his peers but engages really well with young people and with much younger children. Due to his early life experiences his emotions can spill out of him into his behaviours as he is still learning how to regulate and express all of the big emotions he has inside him.
Elijah needs a family of his very own, that can help him to flourish as we know he can, by providing him with very firm and consistent boundaries, lots of love, nurture and patience.
