Adam (aged 4) is a fun loving, energetic, amazing little boy with an amazing giggle.
He loves to play outside on a trampoline, a bike or a scooter, and he loves to play with his trucks and cars and give them a wash in water if he can. He likes to look at books and can also have quiet time watching some of his favourite programmes on the television. These usually involve cars and trucks too.
Adam loves nursery, so much so, that he even asks to go at the weekend!
He has made new friends, learnt lots of new things and he doesn’t mind showing off what he has learnt to others. He loves it when others tell him how well he’s done as it gives him a warm feeling in his belly and a big smile on his face.
Adam tends to eat most foods, but if he was allowed, he much prefers ‘choc choc’ and hamburgers. He really likes someone being close to him when he falls asleep as this helps him feel settled and being softly tickled or stroked on his back helps him relax.
Adam came into care when his birth mother passed away after being ill. There had been concerns around domestic and physical abuse from his birth father and his extended family were unable to care for him.
Everyone who knows Adam says how amazed they have been at the progress he has made. His foster carer will tell you what fun he is to be around. They say he has lots of energy and loves being outdoors. He gives great cuddles and once he gets to know you, he loves to play all day.
He has a great sense of humour with a heart-warming giggle and also has a great appetite.
Adam’s nursery will tell you how much he has learnt since starting there. He knows the alphabet, he is confident with numbers up to 13 and is making good progress with phonics, he just loves to learn. He encourages others to play by saying ‘follow me’ and he gets along very well with everyone there.
Adam needs a family who will promote and support his Lithuanian heritage, provide consistent love and care and that will support him with continued structure and routine. A family should also be able to help him keep in touch with his extended family in Lithuania.
