Caleb (1) is a very funny and bright little boy who has just mastered the art of crawling and will very soon be walking as well. Caleb likes to spend time with his carer’s dog Princess. They are best friends. He is very gentle with her and she thanks him by licking his fingers which tickles. Caleb’s carer takes him with her when she teaches her dancing and he thinks this is wonderful. He loves to hear the music and even have a little boogie himself. He loves food but his favourite meal has got to be Spaghetti Bolognese. The messier the better. Caleb has been in foster care since being discharged from the hospital. He has remained with the same carer. Caleb’s birth parents have learning needs and whilst they are able to live independently and fulfil their own needs, they struggle to understand how to care for a baby. Caleb is just a really chilled happy little boy; his personality is starting to come through. His carer laughs that he will manage to find the “tiniest bit of anything.” He is a “messer” and if there is a cupboard to explore, it is always him that finds his way in. He is very inquisitive. Caleb’s current “new thing” is to push himself up from the crawling position with his legs straight and his head resting on the floor as if about to do a roly poly. He likes to look to those around him to clap and say “hooray” when he does this. He lifts his head with a big beaming smile. Caleb is looking for a family who can care for him and provide him with lots of opportunities to grow and learn. Any family who could consider adopting Caleb would need to be able to consider adopting his younger sibling as well should that be their plan. |
