Blake (aged 5) and Elliott (aged 4) are brothers who are described as affectionate, delightful, entertaining and would make anyone smile daily. Blake is quite the comedian and seems to make people laugh and smile wherever he goes. He is a kind, nurturing child and likes to make sure his carer is feeling ok and if she is not well, he has been known to sing her twinkle, twinkle little star, which cheered her right up. Blake absolutely loves school; he is learning so much and every day he is improving and getting better at things. When he is relaxing, he loves watching TV; Paw Patrol, Bing and Bluey to name a few. He enjoys playing with his cars, pram and dolls when at home and he is learning to share these with his brother. He enjoys going to the park and doing outdoor activities. He is a little bit fussy when it comes to food, and is more partial to beige foods, but he does enjoy his carer’s smooth vegetable soup; His favourite is puddings, he just loves sweet food! He does still need help with things like getting dressed and brushing his teeth, but everyday he is achieving great things! Elliot lights up when you get him laughing and people have said it is a lovely thing to see. He is a loveable, kind child and just loves having lots of cuddles and snuggles with those close to him. He is still trying to master the art of talking but like his brother everyday he is achieving great things, and he really will get there with the right support. Elliott also enjoys watching TV, anything in general, he just enjoys watching all the characters. He is like his brother with food, but he does now like strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. He attends nursery for around 30 hours and loves going, being with lots of other people his age, learning lots, but playing more, it’s the best! He likes going to the park, play centre and farm; anything that will get him busy, outdoors makes him happy. Blake and Elliott experienced neglect in their early lives and were exposed to domestic violence. The boys have made great progress since living with their carer; learning how to play together and not worry about having their basic needs met. Blake was born during the covid lockdown. His speech is improving through the stimulation and dedication the foster family have provided to him. Blake and Elliott’s carer said: “They are wonderful little boys, after meeting them for the first time they kept a smile on my face for the rest of the day! They enjoy interacting with the adults they care about; they have a lovely relationship and bond with their carers. The boys really are coming on in leaps and bounds. They are thriving with routines and boundaries. The boys need a forever family to give them all the love and care in the world! The rewards a family would get from these two boys would be massive. The boys are looking for a two-parent family with loads of energy as they love to be on the go! They would need an understanding of how adverse experiences can impact on a child’s development. The boys have made good progress with the commitment and understanding of the foster family. |
