Billy is one year old and when someone says his name, he likes to look at them and will usually flash them his beautiful smile.Billy has just discovered food and he will tell you it’s far better than just having milk. Initially there were some questions about if he couldn’t have dairy but after trying trifle over Christmas, thankfully, this is not the case. He has discovered his hands and thinks that’s great. He likes to lie on his back and with a little help can get onto his front. He is very strong and can almost sit up, he just needs a little help now. His favourite toys include anything that makes music and a cuddly toy sloth which makes him giggle. Billy was born prematurely and was exposed to drugs and alcohol in the womb. He has been with the same foster carer since he was discharged from hospital, and she visited during him in hospital too. Billy’s foster carer says: “I’m in absolute awe of him. He is a wonderful baby boy and is mastering new skills all of the time. He is a pleasure to care for but also be around.”Billy’s paternity is unknown. However, heritage testing indicates that his heritage originates from Africa and Europe. His birth mum identifies as White British. Billy needs a family that can embrace the uncertainty for him and advocate for him as he grows. |
