Ariella - Our children's stories

Ariella

Ariella is seven years old and full of energy. Colouring, bouncing on the trampoline, dancing, and playing fun games on her tablet are some of her favourite things to do.

Ariella is really outgoing too, and she gets super excited whenever she gets to go to the park and play outside. She loves singing, especially in the car when she’s travelling. And let’s be honest - what kid doesn’t like going to McDonald’s? She always looks forward to seeing what toy she’ll get when her carer takes her there for a treat. Ariella does like sweets, but she tries to choose things that are better for her teeth… though apples are yummy anyway!

Ariella is very creative and loves using stickers to decorate things.

She likes to do a silly song that makes grown ups laugh - or go a bit crazy! When it comes to food, she has loads of favourites! She enjoys cheese and tomato pasta, hotdogs, pizza, curry, chicken nuggets, and she likes lots of different fruits too.

As the eldest child, and due to her past expereinces Ariella often took on a protective role towards her younger siblings. She loves seeing her sisters, and that’s important to her.

Ariella’s Foster Carer says: “She is a caring and considerate child who listens well and shows kindness to others. She is playful, friendly, and sociable, making her a joy to be around. She brings a lovely energy into the home and makes a positive impression on everyone she meets. She is also incredibly expressive - whether she’s excited, curious, or proud of herself, she wears her feelings openly, which makes her very endearing. She thrives on praise and encouragement, and she absolutely beams when someone recognises her efforts. Her confidence is growing every day.”

Ariella’s Social Worker says: “She is a bright, cheerful girl with long brown hair, sparkling eyes, and a smile that truly lights up a room.

She wears glasses and loves doing her hair in pigtails or plaits. She is friendly, warm, and easy to connect with. She has demonstrated significant progress during her time in care. She presents as more confident in her interactions and is increasingly able to express her needs and preferences clearly.”

Ariella would say: “I hope my new family will love me and keep me safe. I want them to play with me, read me stories, and laugh with me. I’d like a home where I can have my favourite toys. I hope they like the things I like - like colouring, jumping on trampolines and eating pizza! I want them to be kind and give me hugs when I feel sad. I just want to feel happy and know they will always be there for me. Most, importantly, I would like a family who will make sure that I still see my sisters so that we can spend time together. We want to keep our bond strong forever, even if we live in different homes”
