Lilah is a beautiful and adorable one year old. She’s very alert and loves all the fuss and attention she gets living in a busy home with four teenagers. She’s healthy and well, and is settled into a good routine.Lilah is happy, content and already quite determined as she grows and learns new skills every day. She responds well to warmth and love. She enjoys being cuddled and held close, and she likes spending time with the people around her. She loves interacting with adults and with the other children in her home. Everyone says she’s a bright little girl with a gorgeous smile! She’s developing just as she should in her emotional, social and behavioural development.
Lilah came into care shortly after her birth as it wasn’t safe and consistent for her at home. She has two older half siblings who also have a plan of adoption.
Lilah’s foster carer says: “Lilah has been generally healthy and is meeting all her developmental milestones with ease. She loves interaction during play and really enjoys the attention, but she is also content to spend short periods entertaining herself on her playmat or in her bouncy chair. She is very vocal and engages happily with us, especially when we sing together. Her favourite songs are “Hop Little Bunnies” and “All the Raindrops,” and she often joins in with lots of smiles and sounds.”
Lilah’s social worker says: “Lilah is a happy and sociable little girl with a smile that truly lights up a room. She responds very well to warmth and nurture, and she enjoys being cuddled, held, and comforted by her carers. She engages positively with those around her and interacts well with other children in her placement. She smiles often and is developing appropriately in her emotional, social, and behavioural growth.”
Lilah needs a warm, nurturing family who can offer her the love, stability and consistency she thrives on. She would benefit from carers who are patient, emotionally attuned, and able to provide plenty of cuddles, attention and playful interaction. A family who can respond sensitively to her needs, support her ongoing development, and help her feel a strong sense of belonging will be essential. She will flourish with adopters who can provide a secure, predictable home environment and who are committed to supporting her relationships with her siblings and her wider life story as she grows.
