Brody - Our children's stories

Brody

Photo of Brody

Brody is three and a busy whirlwind of noise and playfulness. He can be a thoughtful, caring yet lively boy who loves to chat once he knows you, especially about his favourite thing which is animals.

He also likes being outdoors and being with children younger and older than him. If the weather is good, you can find him out playing with the football or visiting the park. His favourite toy is his lion which goes everywhere with him. He is kind and affectionate and loves seeing his reflection in the mirror - it makes him laugh. He loves cuddles and his home comforts, especially his cuddly toys that he curls up with on the sofa at the end of a busy day.

In nursery he spends time in the mud kitchen and playing superhero role play games.

His favourite toys are his cars and garage, as well as stories. His food favourites are bananas and beans and sausages. He  also likes helping his carer around the house with sweeping and cleaning and spending time making stories up using his favourite books and songs.

Brody has lived with his carers since he was three months old. His carers say: “Brody is a delight to care for and is full of mischief and always has something to share. He is a little chatter box and loves using new words. He has close connections with older and younger children who visit the home and can be a leader or support and play alongside other children with patience. He is such a clever boy who surprises me every day and will negotiate boundaries using no, but responds well to praise. He is so loving and caring.”

Brody’s nursery, say: “Brody will do anything that is asked of him and he is a bright boy with a happy temperament who has a great sense of humour.

He initially likes to observe an activity before joining in and taking turns or sharing. Brody does enjoy experiencing new things and with a little encouragement he will try most things. Sometimes he does lack some self-confidence and belief but if he can’t do something the first time with positive praise and time spent, he will try again.”

Brody is looking for a family who will love and care for him as he grows.
