Zain - Our children's stories

Zain

Zain is a happy, cheeky two-year-old boy who sometimes likes to pretend he’s shy at first, until he gives you one of his big smiles.

Zain really enjoys affection and loves having cuddles, as well as giving them too. He can pull lots of funny faces, and if he’s unsure about someone new or not happy about something, he might give a little frown. He really loves playing. Some of his favourite things are cars and balls, and he enjoys building towers and knocking them down again. He also loves music and will happily dance along when he hears a song playing. He enjoys being outdoors too. Going to the park is lots of fun for him, especially climbing up the climbing frame and going down the slides. He also enjoys going for walks and looking at everything around him.

Zain is meeting his developmental milestones and enjoys exploring the world around him.

He loves going out on days out and taking everything in. He also spends time with other children at a local toddler group once a week. At home, his foster carer has two children, and he really enjoys playing with them. He’s described as a happy and content little boy. He loves lots of special one-to-one time with his foster carer when the older children are at school. As he grows and moves further into the toddler stage, he’s learning the difference between right and wrong. Like most children his age, he doesn’t always like being told “no”.

Zain has lived with his foster carers since he was two months old. His foster carers describe him as funny, knowing exactly what he wants, being determined and full of character, a truly lovable little boy.

Zain would like a British Asian, Muslim family to meet his identity needs.
