Gianna

Gianna is a beautiful one-year-old girl who loves to give big, happy smiles to people so that she can show off her bright white teeth that are coming through! 

She is a happy, content and calm little girl with an infectious laugh that lights up any room. Her favourite thing to do is dance! Her foster carers keep saying that every time she hears music, she starts dancing and it seems to bring her the most joy out of anything!

Gianna doesn’t often cry, but when she does, it just means that she’s hungry or tired. People say she’s a chilled out and relaxed little girl. She enjoys babbling and making her voice heard so it’s thought she might be a little chatterbox when she can start speaking!

Gianna thrives off consistent routine and is settled when she knows what to expect. Her weaning is going very well, and so far, she seems to like almost everything she’s tried – although, her absolute favourite food is yoghurt. She usually goes to sleep around 6:30pm and sleeps right through until 7:30am! She’s already in her own bedroom as well so she’s used to waking up and not seeing her carers straight away; she will then have a bottle and have her nappy changed. She goes out of the house each day with her carers and likes being taken to various places to experience new surroundings and get some fresh air.

She loves to be outside, going for walks in the pram and looking at the world around her.

She enjoys looking at the sky and the trees from her pram when it’s nice and sunny. She also spends a lot of her time playing and socialising with her carers, their family and their friends who are foster carers and they all go out on playdates together. She loves going to the park, and soft play centres. Gianna is very affectionate and a happy little girl who loves to have cuddles with her foster carers. She loves being spoken and sung to, as well as having her feet tickled and having funny faces made to her.

Gianna is described by her carers as being ‘cheeky’, ‘happy’, ‘funny’ and ‘mischievous’ - she can also be quite ‘sassy’.

Gianna’s foster carers say that whoever her forever family is should invest in dancing lessons as ‘we have the next Beyonce on our hands’!! Gianna will only tend to have one nap a day, usually when in the car, but other than that she finds life much too interesting to sleep in the day!

Gianna has very dry skin, it’s not eczema, but her skin is often very dry to the touch and can look flaky. As a result of this, every time she has her nappy changed, her carers need to put a prescription moisturiser all over the body, which can mean that nappy changes can last about 10 minutes sometimes.

Gianna needs a home where she feels safe, understood, and cared for. She would need a family where she will be loved and supported. It can also be assumed that she would like to be in a family with an ethnicity as close to her birth parents as possible which is dual heritage Black African and Iranian. If a family of this ethnicity can’t be found it is assumed that she would want her family to make sure she grows up learning about these different cultures and be given the opportunity to learn the languages that her birth parents speak.

Her current foster carers love her and have given her the best chance to develop and grow, and she would want her new family to do the same. She would like a family who likes spend­ing time outside and being active, because she like being outside too. She would love a family who can help her live a happy, active, and fulfilling life.
