Robin & Lily

Robin and Lily

Robin (7) and Lily (5) are sisters who are active and full of energy, with a close bond.

Robin is a thoughtful, creative little girl who enjoys arts and crafts, particularly drawing. She has a strong-willed personality and enjoys doing things in her own way, although she can become frustrated if things do not go as expected. She can present as quite a timid child and benefits from reassurance, warmth, and affection. With time and consistent care, she has demonstrated her ability to build trusting relationships and has formed a positive bond with her foster carers.

Robin enjoys having fun, playing with her toys, and spending time with Lily.

Lily is a bright, warm, and engaging girl who often presents as happy and cheerful. She greets others with a smile and is described as lively, talkative, and a pleasure to be around. She has a confident and playful nature and particularly enjoys imaginative play, often taking the lead during playtime with her siblings and toys. She is affectionate and loving, actively seeking attention, reassurance, and closeness from trusted adults.

The girls have been in foster care for two years.

When Robin first came into care, she needed lots of help from adults with dressing and personal care. She found it difficult to regulate her emotions and was often anxious, particularly at bedtime. Since settling into her placement she is now much happier, more communicative, and able to be more independent.

When Lily first entered foster care, she presented as lively, happy, and energetic. As she began to settle, she showed some emotional challenges, including becoming demanding or easily upset. However, with consistency and care, these behaviours have reduced significantly, and she is showing her capacity to develop and thrive in a stable home.

Living together in foster care has strengthened their relationship, and they play well together and interact positively.

Their sibling relationship is an important protective factor for both girls, and it is essential that they remain together in their adoptive family.

Robin and Lily are seeking a loving and committed family who will provide them with safety, stability, and warmth. The girls are active and full of energy, so their family should be able to engage with them in play and provide opportunities for fun and exploration. Their family must also understand that the children’s needs may change over time and be committed to supporting them through both the challenges and joys ahead. Above all, they need a family who will be their biggest champions, standing beside them, celebrating their strengths, and helping them reach their full potential.
