Roman (4) & Seth (2) are lovely brothers who share a special bond. They enjoy being together, learning from one another, and creating memories side by side, so it is important that they can see each other grow up.Roman loves being outdoors and enjoys spending time in parks and playgrounds. He especially likes water play and playing the drums or toy guitar. Food is very important to him, and I enjoys trying different things. He loves cuddles from the people he is close to and is known for his infectious, beaming smile. He needs support to help keep him safe while he explores, climbs, and goes on adventures. His iPad helps him feel calm, gives him a sense of control, and provides safe opportunities for virtual interaction. He loves looking through photos and videos of his family and friends. Roman and his brother get up to lots of mischief together! They love each other deeply and can also torment each other in equal measure. Sometimes they need help with sharing and managing disagreements.
When Roman trusts you, he will let you into his world. He loves sharing his experiences with the people he cares about and those who show care and love towards him.Roman does have some additional needs in his developmental. He has a diagnosis of ASD and Global Delay and has an EHCP. He is under the care of Ophthalmology due to a squint in one eye and loves wearing his Paw Patrol glasses, which helps to improve his overall vision. Roman is under the care of the speech and language team as he remains pre-verbal, but he can be heard singing away and making noises to himself. He loves music, instruments and singing in his own way.
Seth has a real zest for life, always on the go, and he needs adults who can keep up with him! Life is one big adventure. He sees no limits and sometimes needs an adult’s help to remind him and show him how to be safe. Seth has lovely manners and goes to nursery every morning and loves it there, especially outside. Seth is very clever with recall, numbers and shapes. He loves number blocks! He also makes quick associations…e.g. you remind him that he doesn’t want to fall, and he begins singing Humpty Dumpty (because he falls) and he goes and collects his play box of plastic eggs (because Humpty is egg shaped). He likes animals and dinosaurs too….and makes all the sounds! Aeroplane and helicopter spotting is great fun too and he likes to find them when he hears them, waving at those he sees. Seth likes being outdoors, hide and seek (even when no-one else knows they are playing), adventures, and exploring. He likes hunting for things and exploring parks and forests. He goes to a football club for little ones and loves charging around the pitch.
Seth loves attending nursery, he can sometimes become frustrated and overwhelmed in this environment. An assessment for autism spectrum disorder (ASD), as well as referrals to a paediatrician, specialist teacher, and speech and language therapy services are ongoing. He is a little behind some of his peers in areas of development and likes having 1:1 activity with staff members.
Roman and Seth’s foster carer says: “They share a strong sibling bond and clearly recognise each other as brothers. They seek each other out as part of their daily routine, enjoy spending time together, and are affectionate towards one another. They play closely together, with Seth often copying Roman’s games and actions, while Roman
enjoys helping and including his younger brother.
Their relationship has grown significantly over time, and it is a pleasure to see their connection strengthen alongside their increasing confidence and independence.”Roman and Seth are looking for a loving and committed family who can care for them both, allowing them to remain together. They need a family who will love and accept them for who they are, celebrate their individual personalities and strengths, and support them through life’s ups and downs. A patient, understanding, and nurturing family will help them to thrive, build their confidence, and reach their full potential. Most of all, Roman and Seth would love a family who will provide a home filled with love, warmth, security, and lots of fun, fun, fun!
