Kai and Aria are active and adventurous three-year-old twins. Kai enjoys learning new things constantly. He loves to play alongside other children but prefers to spend time with his twin sister Aria or at least needs to know she is close. Kai loves playing with cars, dinosaurs and balls. He likes to line up his cars! He enjoys playing outside and shows no fear in climbing, sliding and swinging. He likes messy play, singing, dancing and putting on shows with his sister and carers such as Peter Rabbit and imitating characters such as Mr Fox and Mr McGreggor. Kai loves trips to the caravan where he can explore the outdoors, run along the beach and dance at the children’s disco. He still needs support with washing and dressing, but he can feed himself independently using cutlery and he likes to help his foster carers with household tasks like sweeping up. Aria’s favourite toys are books, dolls, cars, building bricks and jigsaws. She loves to play alongside other children but prefers to spend time with her twin brother Kai or at least needs to know he is close by. She can sometimes be bossy to her brother, but also very loving and caring. She is an affectionate little girl who loves hugs. Aria absolutely loves playing outside on the swing, slide and running around splashing in puddles. She also likes to play going shopping and pretending to make food and cups of tea with her dollies and carers. She is getting very good at riding her scooter and balancing on one leg! She loves anything creative and likes painting with her fingers and feet! She is very independent, and can dress herself. The twins have had various moves in and out of foster care throughout their lives due to their birth mum’s mental health difficulties. At the age of two, they moved to their current foster home. Kai’s foster carers describe him as a very happy child who has a very expressive face for joy, surprise, playfulness. He likes to weigh up a situation before diving into anything and takes caution. However as soon as he feels comfortable and reassured, he is adventurous. Aria’s foster carers describe her as a very happy and loving child. She is on the go from the minute she wakes up. She is very inquisitive and very mischievous! If there is anything around, she knows she shouldn’t have, she will try and get it, then hide with it. Nappy cream, toothpaste, salt, pepper. Aria is very good at opening lids and bottle tops! The twins are looking for a fun family with lots of energy and extended children within their wider family and support network would be welcomed. |
