Kayley

Kayley (4) has brown hair, grey eyes and a big, lovely smile, that she enjoys posing for photographs with.

She is loving, affectionate and energetic with a big personality. She enjoys spending time with people she knows and trusts, and she loves cuddles and being close to the adults who care for her. When she feels safe and comfortable, she is playful, curious and enjoy exploring the world around her.

Kayley is a delightful little girl who quickly captures the hearts of those around her. She has an engaging personality, a wonderful smile and a warm nature that shines through in her interactions with trusted adults.

Since moving to her current carers in Kayley has formed strong attachments and has benefited from consistent, nurturing care. Kayley has additional communication needs and is currently non-verbal. She requires adults who can understand her individual way of communicating and who can provide the patience, structure and emotional support she needs to thrive.

Kayley is affectionate and seeks comfort, reassurance and connection from the people she knows well. She is curious about the world around her and enjoys exploring and learning through play. Kayley is resilient and continues to make progress when her needs are understood and supported. She relies on adults who are patient, observant and responsive to her unique way of communicating.

Kayley needs a family who can be patient, understanding and committed to learning.  They need to provide consistent routines, structure and predictability to help her feel safe and secure.

Kayley needs high levels of emotional warmth, reassurance and nurturing care and adults who can advocate for her and work collaboratively with professionals to support her developmental and communication needs. They must understand that Kayley may require ongoing support in relation to her communication and emotional regulation and should be available to provide close supervision and guidance as Kayley relies heavily on trusted adults for support, safety and understanding.
