Nova (4) and Grace (2) are lovely sisters with brilliant but very different personalities. Nova is a confident and energetic girl who loves to play with her friends. She has lots of friends at school and is good at sharing her toys with them. She likes to hold hands with her friends and the teachers and prefers to play in small groups. Nova can sometimes get annoyed when people don’t understand what she wants and will cross her arms and stamp her foot to tell them she’s not happy. However, she’s soon distracted with some toy. She communicates with sounds and words, Flash cards, books, role modelling language, adult and child led activities. She is making progress with her language skills and has started to say single words. Grace loves to climb everywhere! She is a fantastic swimmer and enjoys jumping in and splashing everyone! She loves exploring and will always win you over with her beautiful big blue eyes and smile. She enjoys sitting with her carer looking through books or dancing to music. She enjoys playing with other children and has a close relationship with her carer and their family. She is an affectionate little girl who is kind and loving. Her favourite toy at the moment is her tea pot which makes a great noise when she pours a cup of tea. Her favourite dance is the gummy bear dance on YouTube. She has a big back garden where she likes to play on the swing and slide and play football. Nova and Grace lived with their birth parents and siblings until they were 2 years old and 2 months old respectively. During that time, they were exposed to neglect, violence and a chaotic lifestyle. Nova and Grace currently live in separate foster families but need a family who can adopt them together. Nova’s carer adores spending time with her. They say she has a fantastic character and is the star of the show at school with lots of friends. Grace’s carers stated that she is a wonderful little girl who is growing in confidence daily. She goes on all the family holidays and everyone always makes a big fuss of her. The girls are looking for a family who understand their different personalities and celebrate these. They need a family who can advocate for them when they need it and ensure they get the best care. |
