Clara and Maeve - Our children's stories

Clara and Maeve

Clara and maeve

Clara (4) and Maeve (2) are gorgeous girly-girls who are looking for a loving family to adopt them together.

Clara has just started Reception class at primary school. Her favourite things to do are playing outdoors and going to the park. She also likes to go to play centres where she can run around. She enjoys colouring and stickers. Clara’s foster carer says that she is ‘excellent at doing jigsaws’. She likes to look at books and will help Maeve to turn the pages as well as singing nursery rhymes and doing the actions. She loves to play with her unicorns and my little ponies.

Maeve loves to play with her dollies and her foster carer says that she is very caring with her dollies and other children.

She likes to play with her sister and be silly together. She really enjoys being around other children and on a recent caravan holiday she absolutely loved running around with all of the other children at the disco. She has a beautiful singing voice and loves to sing ‘Let it go’ with Clara. She also loves Moana and singing along to the songs.

Clara and Maeve came into foster care due to domestic abuse within the parental relationship. The children have been exposed to frightening incidents exacerbated by their father’s poor mental health.

Clara is described as a wonderful little girl with a big personality.

She can be giddy and excitable. She is very sociable; she enjoys adult attention. She is very talkative and has a good sense of humour. Her foster carers says that she is a very bright little girl. Clara has settled very well at primary school and her teacher said that it is like she has always been there.

Maeve is quieter than her sister but doesn’t take long to come out of herself around new people once she feels comfortable. She is a very happy and giggly little girl. She is very affectionate and enjoys cuddles with her foster carers. Maeve is gentle and loving and demonstrates this with her dolls which is her favourite pastime, taking them for walks and looking after them. Naturally, Maeve will mostly want what Clara is playing with and enjoys playing alongside her big sister.

Clara and Maeve are making excellent progress in their foster family.

They would benefit from receiving the same nurturing, consistent care and a predictable routine. They will need a family who can help them to make sense of their life story as they get older.
