Adoption Now launch brand new 'Bobbert' Campaign!
We are asking the population in our local authority areas to bounce into action and find Bobbert the Bunny for the chance to win one of three £20 Amazon Vouchers.
The special scavenger hunt with an important message will be taking place from Monday 20th January until 30th March for anyone in the local area who wants to take part.
We are sending our mascot Bobbert the Bunny on his very own adventure in a bid to encourage people to find out more about adoption and consider whether they could offer a loving home to local children who need them the most.
The cut-out of the bunny, so named after the Adoption Now’s six local authority areas Bolton, Oldham, Blackburn with Darwen, Bury, Rochdale and Tameside, will be hiding in popular destinations across these areas with a special QR code for people to scan and enter the prize draw.
Residents taking part in Bobbert’s Adventure can follow Adoption Now’s social media channels for hints and clues as to where Bobbert can be found too. Families are being encouraged to join in the fun which has a serious message as around 100 local children are currently waiting to find safe, secure and loving adoptive families.
Katrina Williams, Head of Service at Adoption Now, said: “We hope that lots of families and residents will join us in the hunt for Bobbert the Bunny; you never know he could be a hare aware from you! But whilst this is a bit of fun it’s really important to remember that we need adoptive families for a wide range of children, now more than ever, as the gap between the number of children needing adoption and the number of families coming forward to adopt is widening.
“So, hop to it and tell everyone you know about it too so we can share this important message with as many people as possible and hopefully we can find some fantastic adoptive families for our children.”
