We are celebrating 5 years of finding forever families!

This November we are celebrating the RAA turning 5 years old!

'The RAA is 5 years old this November – I can’t believe it has been so long since we did all that set up work!

The last year has seen us take on responsibility for letterbox services for all 6 LA’s, restructure our recruitment front door services with the introduction of the ‘Welcome Team’ and re launch our work with young adopted people which has seen a lot of initial success. We have also recently had a very successful Early Permanence celebration event with our Local Authority colleagues which allowed us time to think about early planning for children and the benefits of early permanence placements.

That is in addition of course to the usual work we do of recruiting and assessing adopters, family finding and placing children with adopters and supporting families beyond adoption in increasing numbers.

We look forward to doing much more to support children and families in the year to come!'
