Engagement is a key part of Theraplay, encouraging shared attention, joy and connection between children and their caregivers. Through playful, attuned interactions, engagement helps children feel seen and valued, supporting the development of trust and positive relationships. In adoption, these moments of connection can be especially important in helping children build confidence and a sense of belonging.
