Archie is a content and placid, almost one year old with light red/ginger hair and blue eyes. His carer describes him as an absolute joy and he is doing fabulously.
Archie was born early at 35 weeks but at his recent health assessment, he was on target in all areas and doing well developmentally.
Archie is an observer, as he likes to watch new people however, once he is comfortable with you, he will open his arms out wide and will be moving his arms back and forth and kicking his legs with excitement. He also makes cooing noises to get attention and smiles.
Archie loves to be outdoors. He enjoys going out in his pram for walks and feeding the ducks. He also loves to snuggle and read books with his carer.
Archie has made excellent progress even though he had a difficult start. He was sadly exposed to substance misuse before he was born and so there would need to be consideration given to this background history. Archie has resided with his foster carer since having been discharged from hospital and so has had a good start.
From the 3oz baby he was when born, he is now enjoying food more than milk and he is a healthy 17lb 1oz. He is one of those little boys who captures you and his social worker thinks the world of him.
Archie wishes for a family who can offer him lots of stability, and lots of opportunities to develop his interests as he grows up. Archie has a sibling who lives with their grandparents so we would like a family willing to engage in some contact with them.
