Georgia is a beautiful, loving, active five-year-old with a wonderful sense of humour and independence.
Georgia is well behaved and full of energy. She has a wonderful imagination and is able to entertain herself as well as enjoy social times and days out with her foster family. She absolutely thrives with routine, boundaries and lots of love.
Georgia loves the beach and walking. She uses her fantastic imagination to build with bricks, ‘Magnatiles’ and crafts. She does not tend to watch TV or screens and would much rather entertain herself with imaginative play and fun activities. She is not afraid to try new things and has loved starting the reception class at school.
Georgia lived with her birth mum until she was three years old and was exposed to domestic abuse, chaotic lifestyle and neglect whilst living in her parents’ care. When she became looked after she was behind in her development, which was believed to be related to her care and lack of stimulation. She has made significant improvements since being in foster care.
Unfortunately, Georgia’s previous adoptive family were unable to continue caring for her, but she has managed this difficult period with strength and resilience but hopes she can now find a family who she can live with and who will love her forever.
Georgia’s carers describe her as playful, energetic and loving.
They state that she is bright and funny. Her foster carers state she is an absolute pleasure to care for. She has a lovely relationship with her current carers and the wider family. She is in a good routine, sleeps very well and is very independent with her self-care. Georgia may be assessed shortly for the ASC (autism spectrum condition) pathway due to some delays with her social and communication skills and some self-stimulatory and sensory behaviours.
Georgia’s adoptive family will need to be accepting of any uncertainties regarding neurodiversity and able to meet her needs and support her ongoing development to enable her to reach her potential. She has already had a number of changes of carer which will no doubt be emotionally difficult. She needs a family who can offer her stability, love and provide her with a sense of belonging.
Georgia loves to run, walk, climb and dance, although often prefers to make up her own dances rather than follow the crowd!
She enjoys days out and breaks to the seaside. She requires a fun and loving family who will provide her with a safe and nurturing home, lots of love and opportunities to create happy memories together.
