Leon is a fun-loving four-year-old boy with
brown hair and blue eyes. He is funny, caring,
sociable and likes to be independent. He is full of
character and energy and likes to make people
laugh!
Leon loves playing with toys, especially ones with wheels. His favourite toys are his cars and car play mat. He likes to move them around and make the noises for the police cars, motorbikes and ambulance. He loves laughing and running about with other children, and also enjoys being outdoors and in the car.
Leon is happiest when he is outside and running free. He loves to see the aeroplanes in the sky, and run, jump and climb. He enjoys visiting the park and play centres. Leon also enjoys going to nursery and football practice. He attends a local toddler football session and enjoys the activities. He doesn’t really watch TV but he does like to look at cars and buses on YouTube.
He loves singing and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.
Leon was exposed to domestic violence, chaotic lifestyles and neglect in his early life and as such had significant development delay when first coming into foster care. He has received additional support in nursery and from speech and language and is coming on in leaps and bounds. He is now able to communicate his needs better and understand instructions, but he is continuing to access speech and language support to help him reach his full potential.
Leon is described as caring and compassionate.
He does benefit from consistency and boundaries and can be easily distracted when he gets frustrated. He has lovely relationships with everyone in the foster family and is a joy to be around.
Leon needs a fun and active family who will provide him with a safe and nurturing home, lots of love and opportunities to create happy memories together. He needs a family who are accepting of any uncertainties regarding mental health/ADHD affecting his family and able to support his ongoing development to enable him to reach her potential.
