Poppy is a sociable little one-year-old with short light brown hair, pale skin and brown eyes. She is happy and smiley and enjoys the outdoors, loves holidaying in the UK and adores going to the beach!
Poppy is very affectionate and loves being in the company of adults and children alike. She loves creative and pretend play and enjoys watching Peppa Pig, singing, dancing and attending soft play.
Poppy is a water baby and loves bathtime, she is content in the care of others and likes nothing better than a cuddle on the sofa. She also enjoys playing with her toy phone and will babble away chattering to herself.
Poppy is very clever and can say the right words for the right toys, such as “cheese” when playing with her toy camera.
Poppy has some ongoing health investigations that relate to her eating and swallowing. She currently eats pureed foods and drinks lots of milk. She is under the care of paediatrics regarding this however it is not affecting her growth or development. She is meeting her milestones.
Poppy’s birth was difficult and she required medication afterwards. She lived with her birth mum for a time after she was discharged from hospital but it was deemed unsafe for her to stay with her due to worries relating to domestic violence and drug & alcohol use by her father.
Poppy’s foster carer describes her as a delight to look after.
She is clever, funny, affectionate and she loves to experience new things. She is in a good routine for bathtime and mornings, she will wake up through the night if hungry for milk.
Poppy needs a family who will support her to overcome the challenges with her eating, take a patient and child-led approach to helping her with this and ensuring she attends any appointments that would help her. Ultimately, Poppy needs a family who can provide her with love and emotional warmth, as well as lots of learning and development opportunities, which will help her thrive and meet her full potential.
