Two boys holding hands facing backwards

Hudson (7) and Theo (3) are fun-loving and
playful boys who both love dinosaurs and
superheroes. The boys have a lovely relationship
with one another and are half-siblings.

Hudson is a very loving and affectionate little boy who can be kind and helpful, observant, and polite. He enjoys Lego and has a good imagination for building things with his Lego. He loves the TV and would sit and watch for hours if he was given the chance to. He also loves his dinosaurs’ figures and other animals to play with. One of his favourite things to do is be helpful by undertaking little tasks and he likes the attention and praise he gets from doing these.

He also enjoys reading and the praise he gets from reading to his carers.

Hudson can struggle with big feelings and can find it difficult to regulate his emotions; he can show this through his temper, although this has improved greatly since his time in foster care and is now rarely seen. He likes structure and routine to his day and likes to know what his day will entail. He is happy to tolerate changes to his routine as long as he knows what is happening. Hudson has some speech and language difficulties that he has support with, although he is able to hold a conversation well. He is slightly behind his expected levels in school but is making great progress.

Hudson has been diagnosed with a medical condition affecting his heart valves which he is under follow up by the Cardiologist in the children’s hospital. This does not affect his day-to-day life.

Theo is a cheeky, playful, funny and affectionate little boy. He likes to sit and relax and watch television but is also very active and loves going to the park, loves to run around in the outdoors, and loves to stroke dogs.

Theo’s carer says that everyone who meets him is drawn to him as he is so endearing. He also knows his own mind and will let you know when he is unhappy.

Theo is very active and likes outdoor activities such as going out for a walk to the local park, feeding the ducks or playing out in the garden at home. He also likes indoor activities too and can sit and concentrate on an activity if he is interested, he likes arts and crafts and will enjoy sitting and drawing, painting, sticking or play doh. He likes music so enjoys noisy/musical toys. He also likes being sung to which is part of his bedtime routine.

Theo like his brother loves TV and would sit and watch for long periods if allowed to. Theo loves books and will often approach his carer with a book wanting her to read it to him. He always likes a bedtime story too. Theo also has some speech delay and is having support with this in nursery.

Theo is of dual heritage White British and Asian.

Hudson and Theo play well together but can also show some sibling rivalry at times.

Hudson likes to write littles notes for Theo and Theo gets excited when he sees Hudson coming out of school after being separated for the day.

They engage each other in their play and laugh together, they still need adult intervention at times when they don’t wish to share or turn take.

The boys have experienced a chaotic lifestyle in their early life as well as domestic violence and neglect.

Hudson and Theo ideally need a two-parent family who can continue to nurture them and provide a therapeutic parenting approach to them. They need a family who can support an ongoing connection to their birth and foster families.
